Black Lives Matter

Black Lives Matter by Jill Smyth

In 2014 I visited New Orleans & heard stories about how people of colour were treated very differently to white people during the days following Hurricane Katrina. E.G: the biased media reporting that white people were looting because they needed food or water; whereas if a person of colour was looting it was assumed they were after weapons etc. In 2020 I was horrified to see this disparity on full display in the US. When is this going to change?
